Leonard Carter

Leonard Carter, 90, of Wayne, WV went to be with the Lord on Thursday November 30, 2023. 

He was born May 1, 1933 in Big Harts, WV, a son of the late Harmon and Melva Adkins Carter. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Stella Kathrine Tomblin Carter; son, Wendell Moore and Leonard Carter Jr. ;brother, Ralph Carter, sisters, Ethel Watts and Verdella Parsons, Maggie White; daughter in law T. Wanda Carter and great grandchild, Levi Clay; and a daughter-in-law, Rose Carter.

He worked and loved to hunt. He retired from General Motors, Cleveland, OH. He was a member of Elmwood Church and a tenor singer.

He is survived by his wife, Mazie Dalton Carter of Wayne, WV; children, Harold Carter, Jerry Carter, Jinks Carter, Teresa Carter Watson, Loretta (Jason) Lambert, Juanita (Phillip) Nelson; daughters-in-law, Kathy Carter and Melissa Moore; brother, Harmon (Pauline) Carter; sisters, Nancy Browning, Marie Robinson, Carol Blevins,  23 grandchildren, a slew of great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
