Larry Dalton Peters, 81, of Gordon passed away October 6, 2012.
He was born June 15, 1931 and was a son of the late Otis Clyde and Lena Opal Cook Peters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Peters; and sister, Patricia Hanson.
He was retired from the Department of Highways. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by three daughters, Regina Reynolds of Charleston, Patty (Eric) Pauley of Madison and Lora (Tim) Nida of Cross Lanes; sister, Cora Lea Ferrell of Van; six grandchildren, Aaron Peters, Derrick Bolden, Anna Lusk, Lauryn Reynolds, Jared Reynolds and Sydney Pauley; one great-grandchild, Abigail Lusk; and four step-grandchildren, Charlotte Pauley, Charles Pauley, Jenna Brame and Allyson Bradford.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 9 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Chip Frame officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
