In Loving Memory of Kathy Lynn Foster

A beautiful story came to its final chapter on earth as Kathy Lynn Foster (69), born May 5, 1956 passed into the arms of her Savior on September 21st at 3:15 pm. A devoted member of Star of Bethlehem Church.

Her life was not a single moment, but a series of chapters—each one marked by grace and steadfast devotion to others.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Orville Eddy; mother, Arwanna Eddy; sister, Sandy Eddy; and brothers, Keith and Donnie Eddy—all of Mingo Junction, OH.

She leaves behind a family that loved her deeply: her devoted husband of 52 years, Donnie Foster; daughter, Dee Dee Samuel (Moe); son, JR Foster (Kelly); and her beautiful grandchildren, Jada Samuel, Gavin Samuel, Kendall Foster, and Caden Foster. She is also survived by her brothers Tim, Mike, Beanie, and Dana Eddy of Mingo Junction, OH; brother Doug Eddy of Boston, MA; and sister Pam Jones of Lexington, NC.

From the earliest pages, Kathy lived with quiet strength and radiant kindness. She was the kind of person who turned every room into a sanctuary of warmth. Her story was never written in bold strokes for her own glory, but in gentle lines that lifted others up. Whether as a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, friend, or neighbor, she consistently placed the needs of others above her own.

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves." — Philippians 2:3 This verse was not just scripture to Kathy; it was her way of life. She gave without counting the cost, loved without condition, and served without seeking recognition.

Her chapters were filled with quiet acts of compassion: meals prepared for those in need, prayers whispered for the hurting, and time freely given to anyone who needed it. She believed that every person deserved dignity, and she offered it freely—even when it meant sacrificing her own comfort.

"She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy." — Proverbs 31:20 Like the virtuous woman described in Proverbs, Kathy lived with open hands and an open heart. Her legacy is not measured in accolades, but in the lives she touched and the burdens she helped carry.

Though this final chapter closes with sorrow, it also opens a new one—written in eternity. We take comfort in knowing that she now rests in the presence of the One she served so faithfully. Her story continues in the hearts of those who loved her and in the quiet echoes of her kindness that ripple through generations.
