Judy Anne Bryant, 75, of Midkiff, WV, was born on November, 20, 1950. Judy went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 10:15 a.m. at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice.
Judy was a devoted wife to her husband, Eldon E. Bryant, with whom she shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Judy found great joy in her faith and was a dedicated member of the House of Prayer Church. One of her favorite Bible verses was John 3:16. She also had a deep passion for helping others and spent much of her time serving her community through the Holy Spirit Food and Prayer Pantry. In her spare time, she loved baking, crocheting, and sewing quilts for those she loved. She also found great joy in listening to music, especially gospel music, and dearly loved listening to the band Allegheny.
In her final days, she found comfort and joy in talking and cuddling with her great-granddaughter, Magnolia.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Aaron Hager; her grandparents, Vernice and Minnie Slason, who raised her; her father, Winslow Rawson; and her brother, Ricky Rawson.
Judy is survived by her beloved husband, Eldon E. Bryant; her children, Melvin (Robin) Shanteau, Eddie (Tammy) Bryant, Thomas (Bonnie) Shanteau, Scott (Derrick) Shanteau, Corey (Kelli) Shanteau, Vannessa Hager (and her four-legged companion, Maverick), and Sharon (Craig) Workman; her cherished fur babies; her grandchildren, Tabytha (Codey), Justin (Samantha), Megan (Eric), Gage, AJ, Shelbi (Lexus), Shyann, Jacob (Alexis), Cody (Hailey), Alyssa (Jay), Parker, and bonus grandchildren Clayton and Lacy; and her great-grandchildren, Coltyn, Conner, Caleb, Caden, Taylor, Jason, Mason, Greyson, Allison, Emma, Magnolia, Francesca, Valerie, Clayton, Madison, Zander, Bradley, Arabella, Brayleigh, and Avery. She is also survived by her siblings, Sandy Sims, Bruce Rawson, Christine Rogers, and 13 additional siblings.
She will also be lovingly remembered by her extended family, David and Deb Yeager, Cody and Judy Anderson, Rita Chaney, Hope Cooper, Josh (“Sugar Bear”) Miller, and a host of church friends.
Judy’s love and kindness will live on through her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
Funeral services will be held at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home in West Hamlin, West Virginia, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with Tom Stowers and Willis (“Houston”) Gibson officiating and special singer Marcella Stowers. A visitation will be held an hour prior at 10 a.m. till time of service.
