Johnny Douglas Dempsey, 73, of West Hamlin died Sunday Sept. 16, 2018. He was born January 7, 1945 in Logan, WV, a son of the late Johnny Douglas and Nelma May Dempsey. He is also preceded in death by a sister Barbara Dempsey.
He is survived by a brother Jesse Dempsey (Laura Ann); two nieces Cynthia Ann Dempsey-Asbury and Bobbie Jo Cooper; one nephew Jesse James Dempsey Jr.; great nieces Jessica Sanchez, Brienna Asbury, Cheyenne Dempsey, Emily Asbury, Ashley Cooper, Shawna Cooper, Lilly Cooper, Lendsy Helmstetler; one great great nephew Owen Asbury; a special friend Gary Culver and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am Saturday September 22, 2018 at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV. The burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, Sweetland, WV.
A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
