Johnie May 70, of Griffithsville, WV died Monday April 4, 2016 at home. He was born December 12, 1945 a son of the late Hassel and Stella Perkey May. He was also preceded by his brothers, Clarence and Emmett May; and his sisters Naomi Dempsey and Jean Edwards.
He is survived by his wife, Betty May; children, George (Crystal) May, Cynthia (Keith) Bishop, Kadie (Brandon) May, Rose Marie (Moses) Gonzales, Christine May, and Charlotte May; brothers and sisters, Bobby May, Tommy May, James May, Blanch Mullins, Marie McNeely, Angie Baker, and Richard May; 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday April 9, 2016 at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin with Charles Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Bishop-Burgess Cemetery, Sod, WV.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Saturday.
