Jimmy Eugene Nelson, 87, of Huntington, WV, formerly of Ranger, WV, died Friday December 19, 2025. He was born May 20, 1938 in Ranger, WV, a son of the late Filbert Nelson and the late Norma Spurlock Nelson Messinger. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Nella Nelson, Gail Nelson, and Janice Van Haverbeck; brothers, Edsel Nelson and Damon Nelson.
He is survived by one brother, Charles Nelson and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with Benny Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the Sias-Lambert Cemetery, Ranger, WV. A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
