Jimmy  "J" Ray Caudill II, 49, of Madison, WV, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2026. 

He was born on August 27, 1976 to Jimmy Caudill and the late Joyce Gunnoe. 

He was a 1995 graduate of Scott High School and was known for his outgoing personality. He loved making people laugh, always looked out for those he cared about, was known for his heart and generosity. J enjoyed being outdoors whether it be fishing, riding in the mountains, camping, sitting by a fire or just hanging out with friends and family. He married his wife Donna on October 10, 2006.  Together they had two beautiful daughters. J centered his life around his children, his wife and his dad and Dorothy. The close bond he shared with his dad was something he cherished.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Gunnoe; grandparents, Herman and Sylvia Caudill and Clifford and Virginia Meade; aunts, Marsha Caudill and Patsy Howell; uncle, Timmy Meade; and mother-in-law, Connie Albright.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Donna Caudill; his children, Jaydon MaRae Caudill (16) and Harlyn Rayleeann Caudill (14); his parents, Jimmy and Dorothy Caudill; sister, Felicia Gunnoe; father-in-law, Mike Albright; Matthew Dillon; and a host of loving extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV. Burial to follow in Albright Cemetery Lake, WV. 

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
