Jerry Dale Wood, 72, of Julian passed away February 28, 2019.
He was born February 14, 1947 and was a son of the late Alden and Clarice Wood. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Matthew; and sister Cathy.
He was a retired teacher and attended Olive Baptist Church. He was a U.S. veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Kay McKinney Wood; sons, James Wood and Jonathan Wood; daughter, Megan Collins(Lindsey); sister, Diana Woods; brother, Tim Wood; grandchildren, Jessica, Kyla, MaKaya, Riley, Lorelai, Madison, and Lincoln.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Adam Hanna and Josh Clay officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
