Jerry Ray Lovejoy

Jerry Ray Lovejoy, 60, of Boons Camp, Ky, formerly of Spurlockville, WV, died Friday, August 1, 2025. He was born July 25, 1965 in Madison, WV, a son of the late Junior and Texas Nelson Lovejoy. He was also preceded by a brother, Darrell Lovejoy; brothers-in-laws, Harold Woodrum and Rogers Cain; sister-in-law, Wilma Lovejoy; great grandchildren, Skylar Cooper, Sarah Cooper.

Left to cherish his memory is his Companion, Georgene Slone; sisters, Betty Cain and Bonnie Woodrum, Linda (Denzil) Pauley, Judy (Beecher) Adkins, Janet (Norman) Lovejoy, Rozanna (Mike) Smith, step-sister Naomi Adkins; children, April (Eugene) Ferguson and Brandy (Buddy) Browning; brother, Howard Lovejoy; grandchildren, James and Kristen Cooper, Emma and Bryce Adkins, Michael Kish, Jr, Samantha Bragg, Seirra Cooper, Caleb Browning; 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV with JR Nelson officiating. The burial will follow in the Bear Branch Cemetery, Spurlockville, WV. A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Condolences can be left at www.handleyfh.com
