Jerry Dean Calhoun, Sr., 73, of Madison, WV passed away April 10, 2013 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lymon G. and Blanch Kitchen Calhoun; two sisters; and one brother.
He was a member of Gospel Center Tabernacle, West Madison, and a member of the Odd Fellows.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, JoAnn; a son, Jerry D. Calhoun, Jr (Beverly) of Pikeville NC; and a daughter, Lissa Jo Loftus (Jimmy) of Foster; grandchildren, Haley Dellinger (Travis) of Weyers Cave, VA, Kaitlyn Calhoun of Mt . Solon, VA, Tera Gordon of Weyers Cave, VA, Tabatha Hill (Cliff) of Alkol, WV, Deven Clark (Jessica) of Cumberland, MD and Katrina Williams; great grandchildren, Jacob and Caleb Dellinger, Aubrey and Clayton Eppard, Kenadie Gordon, Dawson, Walker and Delaney Hill; one brother, Fred (Charlotte) Calhoun of Pratt, WV; sisters, Linda Baldwin of Handley,WV, Katherine Parcell and Peggy Brummitt both of Cleveland, OH.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13th. at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the William Bush officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville with military graveside rites performed by Boone Lodge IOOF 170, and Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578, Madison, WV.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Mullins, Randy Ferrell, Tim Justice, Keith Casto, Brett Bowles and Timmy Chapman.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
