Jerald Douglas Stiefer

Jerald Douglas Stiefer, 73, of Danville, WV passed away February 27, 2023 at CAMC General Division, Charleston, WV.

He was born August 10, 1949 at Houston, TX a son of the late Lester Leroy and Emma Margrett Roders Stiefer.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his stepson Pete Sigmon, brothers; Allen, Lee, Omar, Tommy, Walter, and Charlie, and sisters; Ann Hough and Mary Moore.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Marie Ramsey Stiefer; stepsons, Bill Bowe of WV and David Bowe of NC; stepdaughters, Alice Riffe of SC, Rose Sigmon of AL, and Angie Blackmon of WV; sister, Irma Johns of TX; numerous grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; a niece Cora Stiefer of TX and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Tony Vance officiating. Military honors will be provided by Daniel Boone VFW Post #5578, Madison, WV at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hatfield Cemetery at Wharton, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
