Jeffery William "Coach" Davis
October 12, 1949 — November 15, 2022
“Coach” Jeffrey William Davis of Madison, WV (October 12, 1949 -November 15, 2022) died peacefully at home in the company of his beloved family after a long battle with chronic alcoholism.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Davis; his siblings Jackie (Gary) Hills and Jonathan (Diane) Davis; children, Maria (Aaron) Hatfield, Sara (Eric) Lloyd and Ben Davis; grandchildren, Danielle (Caleb) Knight, Dawna (Austin) Workman, Nicholas Halley, Henry Lloyd and Poppy Hatfield and great grandchildren Dixie and Dasiy Workman.
Jeff served his country as a Marine in Vietnam. He served his community first as a coal miner then as an educator and coach.
He valued his family and his friends above all else.
Services for Coach Davis will be 6:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Rev. Tom Bias and Eddie Hendricks officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
