Janice Mae Tawney, 84, of Foster, WV passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 at home.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband Dana; son Richard; and daughter Vickie Robinette.
Janice dedicated her life to Christ at a very young age. She was a graduate of Morris Harvey. She taught in the Boone County School System for 20 plus years. She was also a 4-H leader.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Joyce (Carl) Smith of Foster and Rose (Rob) Collins of Danville; sons, Kevin (Kim) Tawney of Foster and John Tawney of Prenter; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 11 at Rock Creek Church of Christ with John Steele officiating. Burial will follow in Cabell-Tawney Cemetery, Foster.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
Handley Funeral Home in Danville is assisting the family.
