Janice Norine Hager

Janice Norine Hager, 76, of Alkol, WV passed away December 6, 2023.

She was born August 27, 1947 and was a daughter of the late Homer and Fern Bradshaw.  She was also preceded in death by one son Bob Elkins. 

Those left to cherish her memory are husband of 55 years, Kelly Hager Jr.; daughter by heart, Shelly (Brice) Smith and their two children Karrah and Kade Smith of Yawkey. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews that she loved as her own. Norine was not the typical aunt, she was more like a second mother to all around her.  Norine enjoyed every second she got to spend with her family. She is also survived by a host of cousins, and although they were unable to spend much time together as adults, she often shared her most fond memories of growing up with them and spending time at her Aunt Ada’s in Wayne, West Virginia. 

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 10 at Hager Cemetery, Dog Bone, Alkol, WV.

A visitation will take place from Noon until 1:30 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV.
