James Arthur McKinney, 74, of Orgas, WV died Oct. 21, 2014 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.
He was a retired coal miner and member of UMWA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmas and Ruby Fowler McKinney; wife, Alice; son, Michael; brothers, Dallas, Jimmy and Jackie; sisters, Etta Atkins, Betty Davis, Jessie Foster, Nancy Hawkins and Alberta Williams.
He is survived by his daughters, Donetta Cooper, Robin Clemens and Nancy Clemens all of Keith and Amanda McKinney of Drawdy; sons, Delmas McKinney of Sylvester and Larry McKinney and Mitchell McKinney both of Keith; grandchildren, Ranee Clemens, Christopher Clemens, Namand McKinney, BreAnna Clemens, Kolby Moffitt, MaKaya Moffitt, Anthony Baisden, Alec Baisden, Tyler McKinney, Harley McKinney, Juanita McKinney, Ruby McKinney, LaRaya McKinney and Annie McKinney.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Roger Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas.
Friends may call one hour prior.
