James Alan Hartley, 63, of Branchland, WV passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. He was born April 5, 1951 in Cabell County, a son of the late Gerald Lester and Opal Novella Triplett Hartley. He was a veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Neace Hartley; a son and daughter-in-law, Everett and Frances Hartley; a daughter and son-in-law, Starlena and Jon Bowen; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Shirley Hartley; nephew, Dain Hartley; eight grandchildren, James, Katie, Tosha, Ryan, Connor, Abby, Allie and Addy; and an aunt, Marge Porter.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday October 19, 2014 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin. The burial will be in the Hartley Family Cemetery, Branchland, WV. A viewing will be one hour prior to the funeral Sunday at the funeral home.
