James Edward Hager

In remembrance of James Edward Hager, 72, of Bob White, WV, born November 19, 1953 and passed away July 1, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Myrtle Hager; his five sisters and four brothers; and grandson, James Issacs.

Left to remember him is his sister Wanda (Roger) Lovejoy; his loving wife of 45 years, Clotene Hager and their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: son Timmy (Selena) Issacs, grandson J.R. Issacs, great-grandson James Walker Issacs; daughter Jennifer (Bobby) Workman and grandchildren Jessie and Emily Workman; son Shawn (Cassandra) Messer, grandchildren Tiffany (Jerrad) Baldwin, William “Billy” Mounts, Chayle Messer, Charlie Price, Tyler Cooper, and Destiny Pridemore and great grandson Roane; daughter Brandy James and grandchild Katelyn (Eli) Jacobs and great granddaughter Rosa-Lee Marie Jacobs. Some of his friends include Goldie Jacobs, Big Ronald Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Cody Johnson, and Brett James. He has a big loving family full of nieces, nephews, and friends that time has turned into family.

Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park in Danville, WV.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
