James “Jimmy” Everett Castle, 69, of Danville, WV passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026.

He was born October 2, 1956 and was a son of the late Samuel Joe Castle and Melinda Faye Green Castle; in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Bobby Joe Castle.

Jimmy was an employee of Danville Memorial Park/Handley Funeral Home for over 20 years.

He is survived by his son, Jimmy Everett Castle II of Nellis, WV; grandchildren, Timothy Castle, Samuel Castle, Patrick Castle, Haley Castle, Madison Castle, Athena Ashley, Roger Damron and Drake Thomas; great grandchildren, Gracie Castle, Sophie Pettry, Koen Castle, Tatum Pettry and Layla Pettry; three brothers, Ricky Castle of Danville, WV, Paul Castle of Wharton, WV and Gary Castle of Wharton, WV; and one sister, Teresa Castle Roberts of Wharton, WV.

A Memorial service will be held for Jimmy at a later date.

Handley Funeral Home in Danville is assisting the family.
