James T. Adkins, 85, of North Lawrence, OH, formerly of West Virginia passed away following a brief illness Friday Dec. 4, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Adkins; mother, Tennessee Goodman Adkins; son, James Taylor Adkins; three sisters, Bessie Sias, Delphia Cummings and Betty Lovejoy; and three brothers, Jonah Adkins, Clarence Adkins and Nathan Adkins.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pauline Adkins; daughters, Charlotte Thomas and Debra Susan Adkins; brother, Sherman Adkins; two great-granddaughters; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday Dec. 8, 2015 at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV. Burial will be in Goldsbury Cemetery, Sias, WV where a military graveside will be held.
A visitation will be held from 12 noon to 2 pm Tuesday.
