Imogene Jarrell

Imogene Jarrell, 85, of the Meadows at Maplewood, Bridgeport, WV, formerly of Madison, WV, passed away at her residence on October 15, 2012.
She was born in Packsville, WV on August 7, 1927, a daughter of Dewey Pettry and Icie Marie Pettry. She was a proud and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by four brothers: George Dewey Pettry of Chicago, IL; James Roland Pettry of King George, VA; Charles Stanley Pettry and wife Edith of Dry Creek, WV; and Edgar Allen Pettry and wife Agnes of Beckley, WV; one son, Harold Eddie Jarrell jr. and wife Millie of Bowie, MD; one daughter, Sandra Paige Knoblock and husband James of Bridgeport, WV; four grandchildren, Eddie Jarrell of Colorado Springs, CO, Nathan Jarrell of Odenton, MD, Steven Knoblock of Morgantown, WV, and Rebecca Knoblock of Bridgeport, WV. She is also survived by one great-grandson, Cayden and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harold Eddie Jarrell (d. 30 September, 2012); her father Dewey Pettry, mother Icie Marie Pettry; and three sisters Mary Irene Pettry, Nancy Lee Arnett and Verna Mae Sparks.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to People’s Hospice, 327 Medical Park Drive, Bridgeport, WV 26330.
