Hubert Adkins

Hubert Adkins, 98, of Wharton, WV passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Boone Memorial Hospital in Madison, WV.

He was born June 14, 1928 in Logan County, WV and was a son of the late Clarence and Spicie Adkins. Hubert was also preceded in death by his wife Earlene Webb Adkins.

He was a retired coal miner from Eastern Associated Coal and was a member of Bim Freewill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Philip Adkins (Anna); his daughter, Debbie Estep; grandchildren, Todd (Vaughan) Adkins, Traci (Kevin)Hoover, Terry (Trish) Adkins and Kyle (Kristen) Estep; great grandchildren, Evan Adkins, Nate Adkins, Trey Adkins, Trent Adkins, Lilly Estep, Maeve Hoover, and Stella Estep; and his brother, Mike Adkins.

The family would like to thank Boone Memorial Hospital for their care; and everyone who called, visited or helped in any way.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Highland Memory Gardens, Chapmanville, WV with Scotty Elswick officiating.
