Hilbert Lee Browning

Hilbert Lee Browning, 41 of Harts, WV was born on November 25, 1984, and passed away on January 18, 2026, at Cabell Huntington Hospital after a short illness.

Hilbert was preceded in death by his father Willard Browning, brother Paul Browning and nephew Christopher Browning.

Those left to cherish his merry are his mother George Ann Browning whom he lived with. Three brothers: Hillard Jay Browning of North Carolina, Ralph Browning of Griffithsville, WV, and James Browning of Marmet, WV. Four nephews: PJ, Jacob, Cody and Benjamin, three great nephews, Zachary, Elvis, and Kaicon, alongside two great nieces Zoey, and Skye. A host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, plus one special lady that he loved like a grandmother, Naomi Smith.

Hilbert was a fun man to be around. He had the best sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services for Hilbert will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV, with Earl Ramey officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior till time of service. A burial will follow at Meade Cemetery in Wayne, WV.
