She is survived by an aunt, Tudy Bellamy; sisters, Virginia Greenlee and Dafney Jeffrey; her beloved partner, Lowell Lambert and stepson Jason Lambert; daughters Sabrina Trent, Michelle (Ezra) Browning, Goldie (Mike) Payne, and Chelsea Guess; a niece she loved like a daughter, Selena Burgett; grandchildren Jonathan Trent, Zackery Adkins, Courtney Dixon, Christopher (Peter) Browning, Jonathan Browning, Jacob Browning, Ace Browning, Noah Browning, Erica Payne, Samantha (Michael) Cox, Brendan Payne; great-grandchildren Zackery Adkins, Gracie and Jackson Bridges, Hadley and Haytham Cox, and Connor and Jayce Payne; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

A deeply spiritual person, Goldie devoted her life to serving God. She cherished her family and friends and found great joy in helping others. She never met a stranger and enjoyed being involved with the community. She showed acceptance, grace, and love to everyone she met. People often came to Goldie, knowing they could count on her for support, kindness, and heartfelt advice. Goldie always dreamed of traveling the world and made an effort to travel as much as she could. She fell in love with Texas when she was young and often spoke of her adventure there. As a lover of country music, Goldie attended many outdoor concerts and festivals. She could be found in the front row, camera in hand, singing along to her favorite songs. She made many fond memories meeting and chatting with the bands. For more than two decades Goldie helped operate and manage the local produce stand, Lambert’s Market, on 3 Mile Curve in Logan, WV. She enjoyed interacting with their loyal customers and loved reminiscing about them in her golden years. Goldie had a passion for creating beautiful floral arrangements. Many members of the community returned to her each Memorial Day and entrusted her with making special arrangements for their loved ones. She had a tremendous love for animals and took in as many as she could to provide them with love and shelter. Goldie had such a captivating personality, an enthusiastic love for life, and her absence will be felt by many.

At the family’s request, there will be no service, but a private memorial will be held at a later date. McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin is assisting the family.
