Gloria Sue Canterbury Fannin 68 of Sandyville and formally of Madison, WV went home to be with the Lord while she was surrounded by her loving family in her home on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012. “Susie” was the daughter of the late Maxie and Edith Canterbury and sister to the late Roger Wayne Canterbury. Susie is survived in death by her kind and gentle husband of 53 years, Jackie Paul Fannin and her beautiful twin sister, Sherry Lee Marchensky. Susie also leaves behind her 4 children; Maxie, Kathy, Melinda and Sherry; 12 grandchildren, Clinton, Megan,Alyssa, Ashley, Mackenzie, Meagan, Ashton, Kristen, Rebecca, Katherine, Dillon and Collin. In addition, 7 sweet great-grandchildren will miss her lovely smile. Susie was a member of the Sandyville Church of Christ, a devoted wife and loving mother who dedicated over 30 years to her nursing career. She loved reading, crocheting and being around her children. She will be missed but remembered fondly by those who loved and knew her. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 3l, Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Jeff Dorton officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
