Geraldine Ruth Mills

Geraldine "Gerri" Ruth Mills, 85, of Salt rock, WV was welcomed to heaven on April 22, 2025. She was born on August 16, 1939, in Branchland, WV to the late James Hartley Brunty and Jessie Porter Brunty. Gerri was a dedicated homemaker and supporter to her husband Ronald Mills and two sons, Mark A (Dianna) Mills of Lavalette, WV and James Brian Mills of Salt Rock, WV. She was a faithful member of Gloryway Baptist Church of Salt Rock, WV for many years.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ronald Mills. She is also preceded in death by seven siblings, brothers Joe Sloan, Phillip "Snook" Brunty, Carl Brunty, Hal Brunty, and Ralph Brunty; sisters, Phyllis Brunty Sansom and Brenda Lee.

Surviving siblings include sister Betty Rardin, and brother James "Mick" Brunty.

She will forever be cherished by a multitude of friends and family.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Thursday, May 1 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home in West Hamlin, WV with David Cardwell and Bill Stiltner officiating. Burial service to follow will be at Enon cemetery in Salt Rock, WV. A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
