George Leslie Jeffers “Porky”, 50, of West Hamlin, WV entered the presence of the Lord on July 5, 2025. A devoted follower of Christ, a loving husband, father, and “pap pap”. Porky was born on February 26, 1975, to Joetta Porter & Richard Jeffers. He was deeply in love with his wife, Carey Jeffers, “Shug” or “Carebear”, from the moment they met as teenagers. He told her in the 8th grade he was going to marry her one day. And he did. He married the love of his life on September 18, 1996. They were blessed with three children: Kayla (Jacob) Adkins, Dustin Jeffers, & Abbie Jeffers. He was obsessed with his grandbabies: Hudson Adkins (pap’s boy) & Hattie Adkins (“pretty” Joe or “happy” Joe).
Porky was a softball coach within the Lincoln County community for 22 years. He loved spending time in the woods especially to hunt but his family always came first. He is survived by his wife, children, a special son-in-law, a special mother and father-in-law, brother in laws, and grandchildren, many special nieces, nephews, family members, & a host of good buddies. He gained a host of friends and impacted many throughout his 50 years of life.
