George Washington Finley

George Washington Finley 77, of Branchland, WV passed away Wednesday September 4, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born July 4, 1936 a son of the late Noah and Price Colemans Finley. He was also preceded in death by a sister Opal Hill; a brother Bobby Finley; and a daughter Arlene Finley.
He is survived by three sons, Swancie Finley of West Hamlin, WV, George Finley Jr. of Barboursville, WV and Leonard Finley of New Jersey; three daughters, Patricia Vance of West Hamlin, WV, Eva Finley of Tennessee, and Shirley Lett of Tennessee; four sisters, Bessie Stafford of Columbus, OH, Dee Lemon of Roanoke, VA, Doris Long of Columbus, OH, and Sue Smith of Crum, WV; three brothers, Noah Finley Jr. of Dunlow, WV, Jack Finley of Genoa, WV and Roger Finley of Fort Gay, WV; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Sunday September 8, 2013 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with Mike Abshire and Ray Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Adkins Cemetery, Ranger, WV. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
