Geneva Clara Baisden, 101 years old of Cannonsburg, PA (formerly of Six Mile Road, Ramage, WV), passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Concordia of Bridgeville, PA.

Born on December 15, 1924, Geneva was the daughter of the late James G. Hager and Nettie (Hall) Hager.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold H. Baisden; brothers, Adrian and John; and sisters, Lois, Emma, and Anna Lea.

Her love, spirit, and pride survive through her daughter, Ellen Baisden Mezerski; son-in-law, Arthur; grandson, Michael and his wife, Maggie; and her great-granddaughter, Mackenzie. Geneva was also blessed with many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Baisden had been a member of Six Mile Methodist Church, where she has many loving memories of teaching Sunday School and leading the young people’s MYF.

She loved teaching children and taught for over 40 wonderful years in the Boone County School System. Geneva was an active member of the National Teachers’ Sorority Delta Kappa Gamma.

Funeral services for Geneva will be held 11:00 a.m., Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Leonard Bolton and Roger McCauley officiating. Burial to follow in Memory Gardens, Low Gap Road, Danville, WV.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
