We announce with great sadness, Gary Eugene Carroll, 58, of Huntington WV, passed peacefully at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House on Friday, August 13, 2021.
Born December 28, 1962 to Virginia Cremeans and the late Russell Benson. Gary was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and loved by all who he encountered.
Gary was preceded in death by his brothers Russell (Dutch) Edward Carroll of Huntington WV, Shannon Carroll of Huntington WV, and Jerry Eves of Huntington WV. He is also preceded in death by his ex-wife whom he still loved dearly, Vicky Clay Carroll of Lincoln County WV.
He leaves behind to mourn his loss two daughters Nacole (Russell) Gravely of Barboursville WV and Crystal Clay of Huntington WV. Three beautiful granddaughters whom he adored A’Leigha, Haylee, and Taylor of Barboursville WV. Sisters Hazel (David) Hensley of Huntington WV, Mary Brewster of Huntington WV, and brothers Rondall (Karen Spurlock) Carroll of Chesapeake OH, and Bobby (Bethany) Bays of Ona WV. We would also like to mention some very special nieces and nephews that he leaves behind to remember him. Crystal (Josh) Hensley Trogdon, David (Misty) Hensley, Ashley Hay, Emily Hay, Kimberly Hay, and Zach Hay.
We would like to send our deepest appreciation to the ladies at hospice house, and his home health nurse Sandy and aide Angie for their help during the last few weeks.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2021 at McGhee Handley Funeral Home in West Hamlin WV with Brother Steve Gallion leading the service. Burial will follow in Sherry Lynn Memorial Cemetery in Ranger, WV.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until service time.
