Franklin Delano Price

Franklin “Delano” Price, 93, of Uneeda, WV passed from this life after a brief illness on July 13, 2026, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.

He was born in Madison, WV on March 9, 1933 to the late Isiah and Melvina Halstead Price. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Julia Alene Shaver Price; nine brothers; two sisters; and son-in-law, Dexter Dent.

Mr. Price is survived by his son Timothy (Lora) of Foster and daughters, Teresa (Louis) Watts of Sumerco, WV, Janet Elizabeth Dent of Foster, WV and Lisa (Allen) Meade of Foster, WV; grandchildren, Megan, Joseph, Savannah, Allyson, Sarah, Adam, Hannah, William, Kayla, and Haley; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Price worked for Libby Owens from 1952 to 1970, and for Cabot Oil and Gas from 1970 until retiring in 1995.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV is assisting the family.
