Ezra Linville Kidd, 77, of Madison, WV passed away after a long respiratory illness on May 10, 2025.
Born on January 4, 1948, Ezra was the first son of the late Addie Linville Kidd and the late Sybil Esta (Miller) Kidd of Cox's Fork, Danville, WV. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Hester F. (Kidd) Javins, brothers; Carlos Kidd and Eulgene Kidd both of Cox's Fork, Danville, his daughter Crystal Gail Kidd of Cox's Fork, Danville, nephew Gary Lee Lafferty, and niece Sherry (Lafferty) Huffman. Other relatives that preceded him in death include grandfather Elza Kidd, grandmother Jennie Ellen (Miller) Kidd both of Turtle Creek, WV.
Ezra is survived by his wife of 20 1/2 years, Wanda (Harless) Kidd of Madison; son Christopher Linville Kidd of Cox's Fork, Danville; grandson Kevin Scott Kidd of Cox's Fork; nephew Larry (Patty) Lafferty of Danville; niece Debbie (Lafferty) Wood of Danville; great nieces, Amanda (Lafferty) Long of NY, Lisa Lafferty of Danville, and Wendy (Lafferty) Bias of Danville.
He was a member of the Madison Church of Christ and was baptized by Marlin Harless and Richard Runyon at Danville Church of Christ. Ezra and Wanda, his loving wife, were married 20 1/2 years. Ezra had a very strong work ethic and was devoted to providing for his families and enjoyed being a foreman through most of his work history, He was a devoted husband and father who loved his children deeply. His daughter, Crystal, was valedictorian of her senior class and he had great expectations for her future.
Memorial Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the Madison Church of Christ at 108 Rucker Street, Madison, WV 25130 with John Duty officiating.
