Ella Hazel Elkins, 74, of Jeffrey WV was born on October 26, 1946 and got her wings today. She passed away January 10, 2021 at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
Hazel was preceded in death by her mother and father, Willie and Myrtle Hager; three brothers and two sisters; husband Ivan Gene Elkins; a son Micheal Gene Elkins; daughter Karen Ann Ellis; grandson, Christopher Fitzgerald Jonathan John Henry; and great-grandson, Mason Cecil Hager.
She is survived by Leon Cook (fiance’/ best friend); daughters, Debbie Terry, Sharon (Charlie) Hager, Melissa (Terry) Hager, Sheila Hatfield, and Connie (Timmy) Rhodes; four surviving siblings, June Lambert, Wanda Lovejoy, Charles Hager, and Jimmy Hager; fourteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV. Burial will follow in Elkins Cemetery, Missouri Fork, Hewett, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CDC guidelines will be observed, with mask and social distancing encouraged.
