Elizabeth Jean “Ellie” Bonadio passed away on January 4, 2026 at the Hubbard House in Charleston, West Virginia. She was 73 years old.
Elizabeth was born on April 10, 1952 in Newburgh, NY. She was the daughter of Joseph Colombo and Charlotte Szeli.
Elizabeth Bonadio switched careers from working at a Law Firm to being a Writer, enabling her to be home with her family. Elizabeth has a Degree in English from West Conn University, two Certifications from Long Ridge Writing School, and 15 Awards as a Published Short-Story author.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Thomas Bonadio, Madison, WV; Rachel Weller, New Paltz, NY; Jason Bonadio, Fairfield, CT; Gregory Bonadio, Kingston, NY; Andrew Bonadio, Beverly, MA; and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Carol Sardo, Charlotte Martin, Mary Martin, Magdelene Clayton, and Joseph Colombo Jr.
Elizabeth Bonadio was the most loving and patient wife, mother, and grandmother. Elizabeth was also fully committed and dedicated to her Christian faith and following her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She served as a Sunday School Teacher for 25 years and on a Ministry Team for 15 years. Elizabeth ran and completed her race and has gone on to glory.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, at New Harvest Church of the Nazarene in Madison, West Virginia followed by a meal. Everyone is invited.
Funeral wake will take place at DiDonato Funeral Home, Marlboro,1290 Route 9W, Marlboro, New York, 12543 (845)-236-4300 on Friday, January 16th, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the Call to Comfort from 6:45 to 7 p.m.
Burial will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 17th, 2026 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5468 Rt. 9W Newburgh, NY 12550.
