Edith Crabtree, 83, of Fairdale, WV joined her daughter, Wilma Coates and husbands, Loyd Vance and Jessie Crabtree in Heaven on September 5, 2012.
She was born January 5, 1929 in Wayne County and was a daughter of the late Mosey and Dolly Napier.
She lived much of her life in Logan County. She was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was also an excellent seamstress.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda K. Collins of Fairdale with whom she lived with through the progression of her long illness; daughter, Gloria Bartley of Beckley; brother, Mosey Napier of Huntington; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
