Douglas Randolph Muncy, 67, of Wharton passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014.
He was born May 10, 1946 at Eckman, WV and was a son of the late William H. and Lydia Roberts Muncy. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry C. Muncy.
He was a coal miner and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Simpson; sons, Jerry D. Muncy and Edwin P. Muncy both of Ohio, Douglas R. Muncy, Jr. of Sumerco and Kevin S. Muncy of Newton, NC; two brothers, William H. Muncy of Richmond, VA and Terry A. Muncy of Lerona, WV; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 in the Mausoleum at Roselawn Cemetery, Princeton with the Rev. Jay Blankenship officiating.
Arrangements by Handley Funeral Home, Danville.
