Denzil Edwin Loftus, 84, of Uneeda, WV was born March 9, 1928 and went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma Barker and Ventrue Loftus; and a son, Billy Joe Loftus.
He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Danville. He was a retired coal miner and was a member of the UMWA.
He is survived by his wife, Angelina of 65 years; children, Brenda and Steve Meadow of Holden Beach, NC, Sharon and Stanley Elkins of Danville, Vicky and Greg Bohannon of Myrtle Beach, SC, Brock and Berna Loftus of Uneeda, WV and Jimmy and Lissa Loftus of Foster, WV; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Pastor John Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
