Dean Lee Elswick, 64, of Julian, WV passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Dean was born in January 1962 in Madison, WV to Gale and Freda Elswick.

Preceding him in death is his father, Gale Elswick; brother, Gregory Elswick; grandparents, Percy and Sabra Elswick; uncle, Gary Elswick; nephew, Casey Elswick; and Denver and Ruby Ball. He is also preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

Those left to cherish Dean’s memory include his daughters, Heather Elswick, Stephanie Loftis, and Samantha Garten; his mother, Freda Elswick; and his grandchildren, Skyler Ballard, Sarah Loftis, Hollie Loftis, Leah Loftis, Lilly Garten, and Sadie Garten.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV, with Robert Fulton officiating. Burial to follow in Boone Memorial Park in Madison, WV.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
