David Alan Adkins, 63 of Salt Rock, WV passed away Monday April 18, 2022 at Lincoln Nursing and Rehab.
He was born March 11, 1959 a son of the late Herschell and Lois Bellomy Adkins. He was also preceded in death by a niece Tina Lynn Adkins; and a brother in law Jimmie Skeens.
He was a well tender for Post Rock.
He is survived by his wife Rhonda Holbrook Adkins; brother Lee (Jessie) Adkins of Cleveland, OH; sisters Connie Skeens of Midkiff, WV and Phyllis (Bubby) Adkins of Midkiff, WV; step daughter Sarah (Steve) Johnson of Charlotte, NC; step grandchildren Sam and Maggie Johnson; special lifetime friend Dencil Webb; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and beloved pet Max.
" For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." II Timothy 4:6-8
There will be a private family service conducted by Jason McComas. Handley Funeral Home of Hamlin, WV is assisting the family.
