Darrell Sanders

Darrell Leroy Sanders was born on April 15, 1938 to Clifford and Bessie Elkins Sanders of Madison, WV.

Darrell passed this life into his heavenly home around 9:40 PM on July 26th while in the care of Dignity Hospice at home since December 2024 with the diagnosis of Alzheimers Disease. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother, Delmer Sanders. 

Those left to grieve his passing is his wife of 59 years, Sandra Billings Sanders and his sons, Clifton (Judy) Sanders, Madison, WV, Darrell Sanders, Il (Lee) Madison, WV and a daughter, Tina (Michael) Johnson, Julian, WV. Brothers Jimmie (Marylin) Sanders Wharton, WV, Bill (Jean) Sanders Charleston, WV and Eugene (Marcia) Charleston, WV and Eugene (Marcia) Sanders, Charleston, WV. Mother-in-law Lorene McClung, Madison, WV and brother-in-law Larry (Flo) Billings, Virginia. Grandchildren Clifton (Megan) Sanders, Mint Hill, NC, Kierstein (Tommy) Davis, Charleston, WV, Kasandra (Travis) Harless, Breanna Sanders, Madison, WV, Alan Johnson, Julian, WV, and Kyleigh Sanders, Dayton, Ohio. Great grandchildren, Elliot and Elijah Harless, Julian WV, also Sadie and Tate Sanders, Mint Hill, NC, Breanna Miller and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Danville Memorial Park in Danville, WV.
