Darlene June Older

Darlene June Older, 64, of Sumerco, WV passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024. 

She was born February 13, 1960 to the late Roy and Ethel Sansom May. She was also preceded in death by Alberta “Bertie” May, Jack May, Audrey Cooper, Leon May, and Helen Lacey.

She was an office administrator at West Virginia State University.

She is survived by her husband, David “Rick” Older; daughter, Renea Older of Columbus, OH, two brothers, Eddie May and Ernest “Tubby” May; four sisters, Bonnie Watson, Merle Smith, Pearl Pauley, and Irene Dowling; and two grandchildren, Ari and Everest Older-Kcan.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV. Service will be at 11 a.m. with David May officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens on Low Gap Road, Danville, WV.
