Danny Eugene Lambert

January 11, 1956 — March 23, 2024

Danny Eugene Lambert, 68, of Branchland, WV passed away  Saturday, March 23, 2024 after a long illness.  He was born January 11, 1956 a son of the late Arthur W. and Edna J. Lambert.   He was also preceded in death one sister, Edna L. Lambert of Branchland; one brother, Steven K. Lambert of Oakwood, OH.

He is survived by two sisters, Shirley R. Bledsoe of Huntington, WV and Betty L. Hietman of Cleveland, OH; two brothers, Lowell E. Lambert of Branchland, WV and Robert Elvis Lambert of Hamlin, WV.

Danny spent his early years working a variety of jobs that allowed him to travel across the United States.  Danny loved to travel and enjoyed sharing stories of his adventures and the people he met along the way. Danny later worked in the phosphorous mines in Florida for many years before retiring to his home state of West Virginia.   Danny loved the great state of Florida and dreamed of returning one day.

In his retirement, Danny used his mastery of small engines and motors to repair lawn mowers, tillers, generators and the like for members of his community.  Everyone knew   they  could count on Danny when they nedded his help.

From a young age, Danny enjoyed playing the guitar.  His love of music carried on throughout his life and he often played guitar before an audience of friends and family. Danny was a caring, generous man who adopted several cats in his retirement.  He took great care of them and gave them a loving home.   His cats will now be cared for by his brother, Lowell, and his nephew, Jason.  Danny was loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew him.

At his request, there will be no service. McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin is assisting the family.
