Daniel Roger Perdue

Daniel Roger Perdue, 74, of Bloomingrose WV went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 19, 2023 at CAMC Memorial Division, Charleston WV with his wife Karen by his side.

He was born December 4, 1948 to the late Narvel M. and Alma Jean Perdue.

Danny served his country and community in many different roles. He retired from the US Army and worked many years as a coal miner where he was an active member of the United Miner Workers Association. Danny worked for Dr.Jagannath where he enjoyed helping others. As hobbies, Danny loved to hunt, fish, farm and train dogs. He loved to build anything, especially things for his wife, kids and grandkids, He loved them all. Danny really was a Jack of All trades. He was a 1966 graduate of Sherman High School.

Danny is survived by his wife of 32 years Karen; brother Dewayne and Kathy; children Kim and Lenny Cline, Amy and Jim Westfall, Brad and Michelle Cantley and Tracey Perdue; grandchildren Dylan and Christina Cline, Derek Cline, Jenna Cline, Emily Westfall, Morgan Cantley, Megan Cantley, Blaise Cantley; special cousin Leonard; and friend Joseph; and his fur babies Blaze and Bella, and cats Sonny Boy and Cali.

The family wants to thank the medical first responders, the hospital workers, funeral home and Pastor Junior Perdue for their help and love during this difficult time.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Junior Perdue officiating.  Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV with Military Graveside Rites performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post #5578 of Madison, West Virginia.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. prior to the service.
