Damon Ray Green

Damon Ray Green, 57, of Bim, WV was born in Logan County, WV on November 22, 1967 and passed away on August 16, 2025 at his home.

He attended Bim Freewill Baptist Church and loved the Lord. He enjoyed watching the Waltons, gardening, woodworking, mowing grass and the simple things in life.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fulton and Edna Green.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Melanie Green; daughter Makayla Green who he was very proud of; father and mother in-law, Ricky and Brenda Coon; siblings, Jerry (Linda)Davis, Thurmond Green, and Kathy (Mike) Ely, all from Ohio and special friends, Howard Padgett of Shelby, NC, Craig Moore of Howard, OH, and Neil Browning of Wharton, WV.

Special thanks to Dignity Hospice and Damon's nurse, and a sister in Christ, Stephanie Hurley.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV. 

Graveside service will follow at Green Cemetery, Bim, WV with Scotty Elswick officiating.
