Charley Ray Rollins, 85 of Chapmanville, WV passed into the arms of Jesus, July 13, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born January 30, 1939, he was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Virgie Rollins, son Timmy Rollins, brothers Frank “Dee” Rollins, James Rollins. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 66 years Janet Marie (Spangler) Rollins, son, Rod (Marcie) Rollins, daughter in-law Carol Rollins, Granddaughter Bethany Rollins, Grandsons, Jacob and Ryan Rollins-Jenkins, brother Johnny (Brenda) Rollins, Sisters Peggy (Leroy) Palarchio and JoAnn Rollins Green, many nieces, nephews and a special great niece Paige Rollins, great, great niece Josie Rollins (the Baby) and numerous friends including his self-appointed adopted daughter Dena Wigal.
Charley was a Sharples High School Alumni, a retired coal miner with Island Creek Coal/Consol Energy, Guyan #5 at Kelly WV. He was a avid fisherman, woodworker, making canes, jewelry and loved scouring the flea markets for treasures.
Charley was proud member of Masonic Lodge 99, Logan, WV as well as being a 33rd Degree Scottish Rites.
He was a UMWA member and president of Local 9986.
Charley was a generous man that would be the first to help anyone in need.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. with a Masonic funeral at 2:00 p.m. at Handley Funeral Home, Danville WV, Friday July 19, 2024, the Masonic Lodge will be the pall bearers, Honorary pall bearers will be Jacob Rollins-Jenkins and Ryan Rollins-Jenkins. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park at Danville, WV. A reception will be held after the burial at Gospel Center Tabernacle in Madison, WV.
