Carol Sue Garretson, 73, of Foster passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at CAMC General Hospital, Charleston.
She was born August 29, 1939 at Foster and was a daughter of the late Roy and Lola Harless Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carlis Garretson; and stepson, David Garretson.
She was retired from the Department of Highway and was a member of Rock Creek Church of Christ. She was a Life Member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by daughters, Wanda Harless Hurley of Bob White and Pamela Darring of Mobile, AL; son, Randal Harless of Warner Robins, GA; step-daughter, Mary Ohnstad of Bradenton, Fla.; step-sons, Robert Garretson of Hampton, CT. and Garry Garretson of Vista, Calif.; sister, Ruth Ann Williams of St. Albans; brothers, Larry Williams of Foster, Jerry Williams of Vienna, WV and Roger Williams of Rose Hill, KS; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with minister Kevin Trivette officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with a Ladies Auxiliary Memorial Service beginning at 6 p.m.
