In memory of Carl Neace a Dedicated Coal Miner and Former Business Owner.
Carl Nim Neace, 79, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Saint Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 22, 1944, in Ranger, WV. He was the devoted husband of Bonnie Joy (Crum) Neace, beloved parent of Charlene Coburn (Dwight), Connie Darlene Webb (Steve), and Diane Joy Neace, and cherished Grandfather of Justin Coburn (Erin), Tyler Coburn (Megan), Lynndsy Daniels (Tristan), Brittney Webb, Diana Webb, Bailey Baker, Josie Baker and Great Grandfather to Colten Daniels, and Tripp Daniels.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Doska Neace, Brothers, Lonnie Neace, Jessie Neace, Roy Neace, James Ray Neace, Mert Neace, Bud Nelson and Sisters, Rose Cyrus, Margaret Abbott, Nora Lee Nelson, and longtime friend Robert Hatfield.
Left behind to cherish his memory are Sisters, Violet Neace, Annabel Cyfers, and Patrica Webb as well as his loyal and faithful friend Larry Sutphin.
Carl spent his life in the noble profession of coal mining at Westmorland Coal and Arch Coal, where he dedicated his time and energy to providing for his family while also contributing to his community by providing two small businesses to Ranger: Carl’s Carwash and Bonnie’s Pizza. Carl’s Legacy of hard work will carry on through his children and grandchildren.
A funeral service to honor Carl will be held Monday, March 4, 2024, at McGhee Handley Funeral Home in West Hamlin, WV at 1:00 PM with Bennie Dean and Jerome Cyfers officiating. Burial will follow at Webb Cemetery Ranger. Friends and family may visit from 11:30 AM- 1:00 PM.
