Briggs Wayne
Bias
Jul 4, 2019 — Jun 21, 2026
A little soul with the heart of a lion, Briggs Wayne Bias, blessed this world for 6 years before passing away doing what he loved on June 21, 2026.
It was truly Briggs that taught us the meaning of unconditional love, courage, and faith.
Every precious moment shared with him, every time he was “brave and scared at the same time,” every worship song he sang and prayer he prayed, remains a treasured gift.
Briggs loved baseball and dirt bikes and could often be found riding anything with a motor or in a back yard baseball game. He loved his mommy’s (Darian Bias) breakfast that she made him every day. He squealed with excitement every time his daddy (Arron Bias) pulled in the driveway. He fiercely loved and protected his two baby sisters, Maevery and Memphis Bias, who he spent all his days with.
He was surrounded by doting grandparents, Mimi and Poppy (Donnie and Kelly Bias), Lolli and Pappaw (Charlena and Steven Wilburn), Pmaw and Pappy (Harold and Patricia Scisson), Gmaw (Glenda Kimbler), Mammaw (Ruthann Daniels), Mamaw (Sandra Wiburn), and Pappaw (Birchie Bias); loyal aunts and uncles, Pait (Paiton Wilburn), Sissy (Tori Dials), Napey (Nathan Dials), Bub Bub (Dakota Bias), TT (Treva Scisson); precious cousins, beloved friends, and a remarkable church family. All Briggs knew, was love.
Briggs was a bright light in this world, shining God’s love wherever he went. Though he was so young, his faith was unwavering. He trusted in the Lord with a strength and confidence that inspired everyone around him.
The grief we now carry is immeasurable because the love we have for Briggs is immeasurable. We will miss the sound of his voice, the way he smiled with his eyes, his crooked grin, his laughter, his bear hugs, and all the moments we thought we would have.
We take comfort in knowing that the Heaven he believed in so completely is now where he rests. Please meet him there.
The family asks that in place of black clothing, you wear a shirt representing something you love, whether it be sports, music, etc. Bonus points for baseball or motocross.
Funeral services for Briggs are incomplete at this time.
Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV is assisting the family with arrangements.
