Brenda Lee

Brenda Lou Wilson Lee, Brenda Lee, stepped into the arms of Jesus on March 13, 2024, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born in Holden, WV to the late James and Violet Wilson on April 4, 1951. 

She grew up in Blair, WV, and married the love of her life Robert E. Lee, Jr. in 1969. They made their home in Sharples and then Clothier, WV. He preceded her in death in 2005. She is also preceded in death by her brothers Danny and James Wilson. 

She is survived by her daughter Jena (Dusty) Brooks of Julian, WV; her grandchildren, Dakota Lee and Zach Hayes of Saint Albans, WV; Sister Linda (Eddie) Coleman of Tornado, WV; sister in law Debbie (James) Thompson of Clothier, WV; sister in law Becky Lane of Romeoville, IL; her special niece Shaleana Wilson of Columbia, TN; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and church family.  

Brenda was an avid painter, dog lover, and enjoyed her time the most on the beach. She was a long-time member of Ball Chapel Church in Jeffrey, WV. She will be remembered for her benevolent heart, passionate and strong-willed character, loyalty to her family, and her faith in God.  

Visitation will be at Handley's Funeral home on Tuesday, March 19 at 6:00-8:00 PM. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 20 at 2:00 PM with Edsel Aleshire and Barry Mynes, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens, Low Gap, WV.
