Boyd Gene Wiley

Boyd Gene Wiley, age 84 passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at his residence in Interlachen, Florida.

Gene was born in Wayne County, West Virginia on January 9, 1941, to the late Ransom and Mayme Wiley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lorene Wiley, his daughter, Edith Faye Wiley-Dalton, and his brother, Ronald Wiley.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Treasea and Mike Dorsey of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Jimmy Campbell of Interlachen, Florida; son Bj Wiley of Interlachen, Florida.11 grandchildren Norene, Mike (Mikie), Kenneth (Chubby), Virginia (Jenny), Boyd III (Bo), Kelcie, Raymond Gene, Chaz, Treasea (Alex), Mckendra, and Jacqueline (Jackie); and several great-grandchildren.

Gene enjoyed fishing, hunting, bluegrass, Westerns, and spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren

Service for Boyd will be held on at 3;00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home in West Hamlin, WV with Lonnie Wiley officiating. Visitation will be from 2;00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow after the service at Webb Cemetery, Ranger, WV.
